        Sir,

        The negligence of the police personel is very strange on the helmet issue. It must be said that the public has taken the issue very lightly and only a few law-abiding people wear helmets! Not only do the policmen not take the issue seriously but also some of them (policemen) don't wear helmets at all!

        The other day two policemen were riding on a motorbike on the busy 100 feet road near Kasi theatre and they were not only without helmets but man riding the two-wheeler was talking on his mobile phone!

        When i pointed it out to him while travelling in a car beside him, he asked me to mind my business. Police personnel must not only serve as models for the public, they should also educate the public and also set an example.
