Sriram V Rajagopal, director-Human Resources, Cognizant Technology Services India Pvt Ltd, exchanging an MoU with Nirmala Prasad, principal, MOP Vaishnav College for Women, in Chennai.

        Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Department of Computer Science, MOP Vaishnav College for Women, to offer sponsorship for faculty development programme, guest lectures and to conduct recruitment drive.

        Exchanging the MoU with the college, Director-Human Resources, Cognizant Technology Sriram V Rajagopal on Thursday said, 'this MoU is an opportunity to forge a stronger relationship with the college.

        Through this tie-up, we propose to provide more graduate recruitment programmes and guest lectures especially on corporate communication.' Employment courses would be provided to students to develop an indepth knowledge into the world of IT, suiting the needs of the industry, he said.

        Sriram urged the students to develop communication skills along with analytical capabilities. 'Adapt to the work environment and fulfill the expectations of the employer', he added.

        Speaking on the occasion, college principal Nirmala Prasad said the college was imparting various special skill certificate programmes for students to get equipped with employment skills.

        She further said the college was planning to introduce more courses to meet the current requirements of the industries.

        Later, Sriram inaugurated the various activities of online club, a channel to help students to improve leadership qualities.

        The online club would organise innovative events to bring out the hidden talent of the students and enhance team spirit in them.
