Chennai, July 21:
Southern Railways will operate special trains to Madurai, Tuticorin and New Delhi to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Chennai Egmore - Madurai special (0615) will leave Chennai Egmore at 10.45 pm on 1 August and reach Madurai at 8.45 am, the next day.
In the return direction Madurai - Chennai Egmore special (0616) will leave Madurai at 11 pm on 2 August and reach Chennai Egmore at 9.45 am, the next day. The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Tiruchi and Dindigul. Train number 0616 will stop at Mambalam also.
Chennai Egmore - Tuticorin special (0685) will leave Chennai Egmore at 10. 45 pm on 3 and 5 August and reach Tuticorin at 12 noon, the next day. In the return direction Tuticorin - Chennai Egmore special (0686)will leave Tuticorin at 3 pm on 4 and 6 August and reach Chennai Egmore at 4.30 am, the next day.
The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi. Train number 0686 will stop at Mambalam also.
Chennai Central - New Delhi special (0411) will leave Chennai Central at 8.10 pm tomorrow and reach New Delhi at 10.05 am on the third day.
The train will stop at Gudur,
Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharshah, Nagpur, Bhopal and Jhansi. Advance reservation
for the above trains began today, a Southern Railway press release said.
