        Two motorcycle-borne men snatched a chain from a woman walking along the road in suburban Kottivakkam. Police are on the lookout for the duo.

        Police said Rupalakshmi (57), residing in AGS Colony, was going to a temple yesterday when two men a two-wheeler grabbed her chain and sped away. She offered resistance, but the duo managed to escape with the jewel.

        Rupalakshmi lodged a complaint with the Neelangarai police. Police are enquiring. It is to be noted in the past 10 days, this kind of crime was reported at Neelankarai, Vettuvankeni, Thiruvanmiyur New Beach Road, Kalakshetra Colony, Indira Nagar, Besant Nagar and Adyar.

        Following the incidents, police set up special teams at Neelangarai, Thiruvanmiyur and Adyar police stations to catch the thieves on motorcycles.
