        The Jaigopal Garodia Scholarships Centre has announced scholarships for the academic year 2007-2008 for girl students from economically weaker sections.

        According to a press release, physically disabled male students could also apply. Scholarship will be given to those who are pursuing higher studies such as graduation, post graduation, medical, enineering, diploma, polytechnic, nursing, teacher training etc.

        Applications can be obtained in person or by post by sending a self-addressed stamp envelope to Jaigopal Garodia Scholarsips Centre, U-6, 7th street, Annanagar, Chennai-40. Ph: 26206261. The last date for receipt of filled-in applications is 10 August, added the release.
