        Indian Bank stormed into the last four with a 3-0 victory over Soccer FC in the 23rd Vittal Trophy football tournament being held at the Nehru Stadium here yesterday. Ramesh scored two goals while Santha Kumar completed the tally for the bankmen.

        In the semifinals, Indian Bank will face SBI, while ICF will take on SAI.

        Indian Bank went ahead in the 17th minute through a flag kick. Sathish Kumar’s cross was deftly right-footed by Ramesh. Indian Bank led 2-0 at half-time.

        In a wonderful counter-attack towards the close, Ramesh did a solo run to complete the tally.  Today is a rest day. The first semifinal will be played tomorrow, followed by the second one on Monday.
