        'Mankind will be healthy if food, water and air are not polluted,' Sri Sathya Sai Baba said at a function organised by Chennai Citizen's Conclave to thank him for providing concrete lining between Kandaleru and Poondi reservoirs to ensure smooth flow of Krishna water.

        Posing a query, Baba said, 'Why can't the rich people in Chennai sacrifice and supply pure drinking water to these underprivileged people of Chennai. But most of the rich people spend huge sums on unnecessary things and entertainment. Without pain, we cannot experience pleasure'.
