        A private firm employee was waylaid and robbed of Rs 3.5 lakh in cash by two men at Raja Annamalaipuram here yesterday. He was also attacked with a sickle.

        According to police, the victim Muthukrishnan (34), a manager in a marketing company on St Marys Road, was riding a two-wheeler with the office money when two men stopped him, inflicted head injuries and ran away with the cash.

        Police are on the lookout for the duo.
