Prayer

        There is nothing more effective than prayer to bear with the tortures of mind and body which life offers to every individual according to deserts. Learn to endure.

        That is not negativism based on the norm that what cannot be cured has to be endured but a positive piece of advice handed down by savants.

        The essence of that norm is that uncomplaining endurance has a way of refining mental approach to things material and creates self- confidence.

        It fosters the mood for the elimination of turbulence in the mind and facilitates a state of unruffled peace which is a catalyst for fruitful meditation.

        Lord Krishna asks for unconditional surrender to His will as that transfers all responsibilities from the devotee to Him and that is the goal.

        The saint says: from our mind flows desires that trigger the seemingly endless birth-and-death chain but from you flows eternal peace that is bliss unalloyed.

        The pursuit of transients is a futile exercise and it has to yield place to the search into the inner mind that can offer transcendental experiences.

        That changes into first flashes in the pan and then into the darshan that worship of form seeks culminating in the unifying rapport with the source from which we have come.
