        The Y S Jayamma Raja Reddy 8th Women Hockey Federation Cup, organised by the Andhra Pradesh Women's Hockey Assocation and Kadapa Women Hockey Association, gets underway at Pulivendula today.

        The final is slated to be held 25 January. The tournament will be held on league-cum-knockout basis. The participating teams are Railways, UP, MP, Orissa, Mumbai, Karnataka and host AP will participate.

        M Renuka Lakshmi, joint secretary, Indian Women's Hockey Federation, will be the tournament director.

        The previous 7th Federation Cup was held at Chattisgarh and Railways was the winner.
