Areva T&D India has won sales orders worth Rs 42.5 crore from Reliance Petroleum Ltd for its Jamnagar refinery in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) being developed by Reliance Industry.
The order covers 6 units of 161MVA 220kv generator transformers and 2 units of 100MVA 220kv Autotransformers. The deliveries are expected to be completed by June 2007.
The Reliance Jamnagar project was designed to meet the rising demand in Western India for high quality fuels that meet stringent emission standards, and also cater for the widening price gulf between heavy and light crude oils.
Areva T&D has also won another order from Nalco for their Angul plant at Orissa, worth Rs193.4 crore for 220 kv conversion substations, 220kv Switchyard, Power Distribution System and various Numerical Relays.
The aluminum smelter is based on energy efficient state-of-the-art technology of smelting and pollution control, and Areva T&D is providing necessary product and technical support on the power distribution front for Nalco's substation. NALCO has a capacity expansion plan from the present 2,30,000 TPA to 3,45,000 TPA.
Further, Areva T&D India's Instrument Transformer Unit at Bangalore has received an order for 245 kv Wall Bushings from Gecol, Libya.
The order is valued at Rs
16 crore for 198 units of 245 kv Wall Bushings. The first phase of the
order for 45 units is scheduled to be completed by December 2006 and the
second phase by December 2007.
