MLS group opens new office space

        A seven-floor posh building for office space with a built up area of over 33,000 sq ft was opened by the UK-based MLS Group Plc at T Nagar yesterday.

        Built at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore, the office building has all the state-of-the-art features to cater to the emerging needs of commercial offices and business centres in and around Chennai. The company had chosen to embark on its India operations from Chennai with the opening of its first office space here, said Paul Barrington Williams, founder-CEO, MLS group.

        With nine years of experience in a competitive market like the UK, he said MLS group was confident of becoming a major player in India. The company has got rich expertise in setting up high quality, flexible and affordable office space for those looking for a commercial building to grow their enterprises. MLS would invest over Rs 25 crore in India by the end of fiscal 2009 and by that time, five new centres would become operational, said Barrington Williams. The company would capitalise on the growing opportunity in key markets like the metros and the tier-II cities like Mysore and Coimbatore to expand operations in India, said S Sridhar, director, India Operations, MLS group.

        According to their study, there was a big demand for quality commercial space for all industrial sectors, even as MNCs have started moving into India to set up business. MLS group has tied up with global realtors like C B Richard Ellis and Colliers International for space marketing of their properties.
