        The son of Godman Yagava Munnivar and his illicit lover, who allegedly issued a murder threat to his mother and wife who questioned him about his extra-marital affair, has been arrested by the police.

        Saran (29), the son of godman, was residing with his mother Pushpa and wife Renuka Devi at Velachery after the death of his father.

        It is said a tenant one Sangeetha who was residing on the first floor of Saran's house developed an illicit relationship with him. She was also running a beauty parlour at the same house.

        When his mother came to know about Saran's illegitimate ties, she asked him to end the affair. Angered at this, Saran threatened to murder his mother and his wife.

        Following this the family members lodged a complaint with the police and also asked Sangeetha to vacate the place in 20 days time.

        Meanwhile, Saran, on hearing about the police complaint, attempted to attack his wife with a knife. So, the police arrested him and his lover.
