Emirates Holidays' summer offer

        Emirates Holidays, the tour operating arm of Emirates Airline, has launched its Dubai summer specials, comprising many flexible, affordable and quality holiday packages to 'City of Gold'—Dubai.

        For the next six months, Emirates Holidays is offering Chennai leisure travelers the best of both worlds in exotic Dubai, with bargain packages combining traditional Arabic hospitality with a bustling, fast-paced lifestyle.

        Package prices start from Rs 28, 900 and feature accommodation options at world-class hotels such Sofitel City Centre, Shangri-La Hotel, Hyatt Regency, J W Marriott, and Towers Rotana Hotel in single and twin-sharing categories. Families traveling with children pay an additional charge of Rs 11,000 upwards. The holiday offers are valid till 31 October, 2007.

        Package prices include Economy Class return airfare, three-night accommodation with buffet breakfast, taxes, service charges, meet and assist at Dubai International Airport, and transfers between hotel and airport.

        The announcement closely follows the worldwide launch of Emirates Holidays' brand new edition of A World of Choice brochures that includes an all-new brochure Dubai and the Emirates. The brochures, featuring an array of accommodation options to suit various budgets, are available at Emirates offices and leading travel agents in Chennai.

        Sudhir Sukumaran, Emirates' sales manager, Tamilnadu said, 'Dubai has emerged as a very popular destination for Chennai's holiday makers. World-class brands, up-to-date fashion couture, state-of-the-art electronics, gold and Arabian artifacts are available at unbelievably low prices. The fact that a single destination can offer skiing, sand-boarding, snorkelling, tax-free shopping, trendy nightlife and over 50 international cuisines within 20 minutes of each other is simply amazing.'

        He added: Almost three hours away, a shopping and sight-seeing haven in a crime-free environment; it is easy to see why Dubai is so irresistible. I am confident our special packages will appeal to those looking for an exciting weekend break, and at the same time encourage domestic travelers to test international waters.'

        Emirates set foot in Chennai, its first South Indian foray, in 2000 with the launch of four weekly flights, doubled to eight weekly flights in February 2006. Since then the award-winning airline has expanded its operation with the introduction of many valued added services including Emirates Holidays and Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC).
