The Federation of South India Producer Associations, SIPA, has organised an exhibition of Kolu dolls, for the upcoming Dussehra festival,

CK Gariyali inaugurated the exhibition on Thursday. Founder of SIPA, K
Panchaksharam said the Association was established 20 years ago to encourage
traditional arts and crafts and to help artisans and producers. SIPA markets
the products and assists craftsmen and women to improve their trade.

The display includes dolls from Cuddalore, Kancheepuram and Puducherry.
Exquisite sandalwood carvings, rosewood inlay work, wood carvings, panels and boxes, handloom furnishings, toiletries, cotton bags, vegetable dye, lacquer toys and dolls, Batik wall hangings, wrought iron lampstands and Kalamkari home furnishings are also on display.
The prices for these products range between Rs 15 to Rs 5,500 and the exhibition will last for 40 days.
