AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA   VOICE MAIL

Not in good taste

        Sir,

It is very unfortunate that MPs of two key allies of the UPA were involved in a scuffle in the Lok Sabha which is chaired by a tall Parliamentarian of the high dignity like Somnath Chatterjee, who was also a Left leader!

The scuffle reduced the interests of the opener in the World Cup 2007. The Left Parliamentarians have even excelled Sourav Ganguly in aggression! Union Minister T R Baalu, who is also a very tough person basically was plying defensively totally helpless.

The Left who are normally quick to quote alien countries to defend their theories are stalling Parliament by raking up an pertaining to Bengal and Tamilnadu. Our MPs who are basically passive even in a very sensitive issue like the Cauvery award may have to take cue from the Left.

To sum up, it has to be said it is now past-time on the part of our MPs to create a flutter in Parliament in turns irrespective of party affiliations.

What is the reaction of the Tamilnadu Chief Minister, who is normally quick to comment on such subjects, remains to be seen.

        S Venugopalan, Vananthurai.

Good work

        Sir,

V Sundaram must be congratulated for exposing the sordid episode of Congress MP, Subba, through his article in News Today. If the charges are proved, Subba must be stoned to death in public, as is being done in Arab countries. Such a punishment, will act as a deterrent.

        Mohan Iyer, (by e-mail).
