AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Real eyes

The eyes are said to be the most valuable divine blessing for humans but, without education, the individual is said to be blind as a bat.

He who helps educate a child is blessed by God but he, who helps mitigate illiteracy in his country, is dearer to God than the celestials attending on him.

Hindu scriptures enjoin on rulers the obligation to open the minds of their subjects by providing them facilities for education to the extent possible.

Tamil mystics have declared that it is not wealth and economic status but learning which helps one to win respect.

The illiterate person of noble birth and high caste cannot and should not get the respect which a learned person should get whatever be his caste and economic status.

Just as the gun powder made all men of equal height, education levelled status, hence the call for universalisation of primary education and fee-free higher education.

Knowledge is power but the deciding factor here is how it is used. The Vedas speak of use and abuse of sacred and temporal knowledge.

The Brahma Vaivarta Purana says that critical knowledge should not be passed on to those who could misuse it or abandon it by laziness.
