Sundaram Infotech in pact with Dutch firm

        Sundaram Infotech Solutions (SIS), the IT arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd, has announced that it has struck a partnership with a Dutch-based firm called To Increase.

        The Dutch company has developed a focused, industry-specific solution as an add-on to Microsoft's Dynamics Ax to address the requirements of equipment makers and process industries. The solution which has been successfully implemented in a number of manufacturing firms in Europe and Americas has now been introduced in India.

        SIS would target manufacturing companies in India with this industry specific ERP solution of To Increase. SIS would also take care of the end-to-end project management for the solution implementation to the Indian customers.

        Srinivas Acharya, deputy managing director, Sundaram Finance and CEO of Sundaram Infotech, said, 'The Netherlands company was quite impressed with our implementation track record in the manufacturing domain and the group's commitment to nourishing and enhancing partnerships.'

        Also, the Dutch company had chosen SIS's facility in Chennai for a 2 phased training programme by their solution specialists for its global partners in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. 'Our solid expertise in Dynamics Ax, especially in the discrete manufacturing space, immensely helped us clinch this partnership with To Increase,' said J Raghunathan, vice-president and head, Marketing, SIS.

        SIS is one of the largest partners of Dynamics Ax, the ERP solution from Microsoft stable in India. As an ERP, Ax has all the modules to address the total and integrated information needs of an enterprise. Microsoft Dynamics is a line of products that automate and help improve financial and customer relationship as well as supply chain management.

        With focus mainly on financial services and manufacturing verticals, SIS has a 50,000 sq ft of software development facility in Chennai and is currently in the process of hiring over 500 professionals to increase its headcount to over 750 employees.
