'Compensation packages and the scope for growth in the IT industry are the two of the main attractions to enter this industry,' said vice chairman and president of CTS Lakshmi Narayan at the national-level student symposium for IT students held here recently.
The symposium titled, 'Preparing IT professionals for 2010 - a road map,' was organised by Rajalakshmi Engineering College and Computer Society of India. 'The industry expects certain basic capabilities from students and further development can happen only after they join the company,' Lakshmi Narayan added.
In an interactive session, former director of IFMR S Ramachander and consultancy advisor of TCS
C R Muthukrishnan fielded
queries from students. Earlier, chairperson of Rajalakshmi Engineering
College Thangam Meganathan delivered the inaugural address, a press release
said.
