        An interschool music competition will be conducted at the Children's club, Mylapore from 14 January. The competition would be conducted for students between 10 and 14 years.

        14 January - Bhajans in any Indian language at 1 pm, violin solo (compositions of Thyagaraja in Kambodhi, Kalyani and Sankarabharanam or Vaara Kirtanais of Muthuswamy Dikshithar).

        16 January - Compositions of Muithuswamy Dikshithar at 12 noon and compositions of Thyagaraja at 1.30 pm, a press release said.
