        Burglars broke open a telephone booth at Ennore in north Chennai yesterday and decamped with Rs 23,000 in cash.

        According to police, Jaganathan, a resident of Ennore, running a STD booth in the locality, found the booth door broken open yesterday morning and the cash missing.

        However a couple of cell phones remained untouched. Ennore police have registered a case and are investigating.
