        The Rotary Club of Madras is organising an international golf tournament from 27 January to 3 February.

        The tournament, sponsored by HSBC, will be played in Ooty, Mysore and Eagleton (near Bangalore), and is open to both Rotarians and non-Rotarians.

        The prize distribution will take place at Chennai on February 3. Approximately 150 participants, including some from Malaysia and Sri Lanka, are expected.

        Ravi Katari, president, Rotary Club of Madras, said, 'All arrangements have been made to make the tournament professional and enjoyable for all golfers, both the experienced ones and the freshers.

        There are excellent prizes to be won - a golf set, Tag Heur watches, international holiday vouchers, hotel stay vouchers and many more. January and February are the most pleasant months in the South, and therefore the event has been planned accordingly.

        We are hoping to make this an annual event of Rotary Club, for many years to come.'
