        Air Deccan has announced the release of 3 lakh tickets at Rs 7 (plus taxes) for Makar Sankranti. These tickets will be available for travel in the months of February and March 2007 across all sectors. The bookings will open from tomorrow.

        Capt G R Gopinath, managing director, Air Deccan said, 'stimulation of spontaneous and impromptu travel is the basic idea behind releasing tickets at such low fares. We want to even out the difference between peak and non-peak travel seasons. Travelers should be able to get low fares whenever they plan to travel and not only in off seasons.' 'Makar Sankranti marks the onset of summer and is celebrated across India with much gaiety. We want to add to the celebration by offering tickets at Rs 7 (plus taxes).'
