        A handbook on Solid Waste Management practices to be followed in town panchayats in the State was released here today by Local Administration and Rural Development Minister M K Stalin.

        An official release here said the book was received by presidents of town panchayats in Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts from Stalin. The handbook, prepared by the Directorate of Town Panchayats has all the essential information on solid waste management. It will be given to executive officers, engineers and social activists, it was said.
