        Continuing on its overseas expansion, Sundaram Infotech Solutions Ltd (SISL), the IT arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd, has announced that it is targeting the ERP market in South East Asia. Interestingly, SISL will specifically focus on NBFC vertical, and the automobile segment with its 'Dealer Management Solutions'.

        Sundaram Infotech will also target the South East Asian market with Smart Lend Lite, the company's customised IT solutions for mid-sized non-banking financial services companies. Developed in Navision 4.0 (Microsofts ERP solution), Smart Lend Lite helps in automating application processing and credit appraisal, lease creation and initiation, disbursements, debt collections, collections management among other processes.

        In addition to the above, Sundaram Infotech will also target software services projects in do net. The company which has recently won a few deals in the training space, will continue to explore opportunities in the ERP training space in the South East Asia market.

        Commenting on the expansion, Srinivas Acharya, deputy managing director, Sundaram Finance Ltd and CEO Sundaram Infotech said, 'Sundaram Infotech has seen a few early wins in Middle East and West Asia market this year. The decision to open office in Singapore comes on the back of several enquiries for our offerings in the South East Asian market.'

        H T Raja, head,sales and marketing, Sundaram Infotech said, 'with Singapore as the hub, we expect to target markets such as Indonesia and Thailand where we believe there is potential to tap into with our ERP and Smart Lend Lite offering.'

        Sundaram Infotech has this year expanded its presence into Jordan and Saudi Arabia and more recently forayed into Australia by opening up an office in Melbourne.

        SISL is one of th largest partners of Axapta, the ERP solution from Microsoft. Axapta comprises modules addressing the total and integrated information needs of an enterprise. Microsoft ERP automates and helps improve financial and customer relationship as well as supply chain management.

        Sundaram Infotech is into development and implementatin of software products, consulting and implementation of Microsoft business solutions. Axapta and Navision and Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions.

        SISL, which focuses primarily on the financial services and manufacturing verticals has a 50000 sq ft software development facility in Chennai.
