        Burglars broke into a house and decamped with seven sovereigns of jewels and cash at Avadi yesterday.

        Police said Ragavan a resident of Dhanalakshmi Nagar, Avadi, left home for work at Heavy Vehicles Factory yesterday morning. His wife Rejinald locked the house and went to her relative house at Thiruvallur. When she returned home in the evening, she saw the locked door broken open and the valuables kept in the almirah missing.
