Mauritius Tourism's summer campaign

        Come summer, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) jointly with Air Mauritius has launched a marketing campaign to woo Indian tourists.Aimed at introducing new top-of-the-line properties, tourism products and services to the Indian travel industry and travellers alike.

        The supporting partners in this campaign include Martim Hotel, Le Meridien, ILe Maurice, Le Telfair Golf and Spa Resort, Heritage Golf and Spa Resort, Consiance Belle Mare Plage, Beau Rivage.

        The package starts from Rs 48,495 onwards per person which is inclusive of return airfare for 6 nights/7 days stay, return airport transfers, breakfast and dinner, 3 full day sight seeing additional value-added services offered along with this package at competitive price includes submarine ride, sub-scootr ride and helicopter ride.

        Elaborating on the vacation campaign, Rajeev Nangia, associate director, TRAC representations said, 'as the Indian travel industry evolves and matures the key to attract greater tourist arrival, we will remain focused on introducing tailor-made and customised product and targeting varied segment of travellers.'

        Indian tourists arrival to Mauritius continues to surge ahead. For the year 2006, 37498 Indian travellers visited Mauritius registering an overall increase of 26 per cent. In the month of February 2007, the total Indian tourists arrival to Mauritius was 3180, registering an increase of 30 per cent, as compared to last year figure for the same period. A redeeming feature for Indians tourists are the 60 days visa on arrival and no ECNR clearance required while travelling to Mauritius. The travellers need to pack their bags and leave.
