        PMK staged a protest demonstration before the taluk office urging the government to reduce the price of cement.

        Agitations were held today throughout the State to press the government to take steps to reduce cement price and to import cement. As part of the State-wide demonstrations, an agitation was held before the taluk office here. The protest was led by Sakthi Kamalammal, MLA and a large number of PMK workers took part in the demonstration. Security was beefed up in view of the agitation.
