        A man who was hacked with a sickle owing to previous enmity at Kannagi Nagar near suburban Thorapakkam is undergoing treatment and his condition is said to be serious. Two persons have been taken into custody in connection with this.

        According to police, Sela alias Selva (20) was walking down a road last evening when Siva, Suresh, Ranjith, Sathya alias Sathyaraj were said to have attacked him with sickle. He was seriously injured and was admitted to Stanley Hospital.

        Thorapakkam police, on learning the news, rushed to the spot and arrested Ranjith and Sathyaraj. Cases were registered against them. The other two Siva and Suresh managed to escape. Police are on the lookout for the duo.
