        F-Secure Corporation, the Finnish company offering anti-virus solutions for computers and mobile networks, has entered into an agreement with S V Electronics for distributing its products in India.

        Based in Hyderabad, S V Electronics would distribute the entire range of corporate products of F-Secure for single as well as multiple users throughout India. With over 85 channel partners, the Indian company would ensure smooth distribution of anti-virus and other security products to resellers, large corporations, SMEs and end-users across the country.

        'Broadband is rapidly increasing in India and the IT growth creates opportunity for us to provide cutting edge products to customers here. Our partnership with S V Electronics supports our plan to deep the company's footprint on Indian soil and enable Indian subscribers to surf the internet securely at affordable cost,' said Jari Heinonen, vice-president, APAC region, F-Secure Corporation.

        Commenting on the partnership, Venu Palakirti, sales director, F-Secure, said the arrangement with S V Electronics was well aligned with the company's strategy of focusing on security products as a service through the ISPs (internet service providers) and MSSPs (managed security service providers). 'S V Electronics complements our already robust network in the country. We plan to rapidly increase our distributors so that we are able to further strengthen our market share in India,' Palakirti said.

The company offered anti-virus and desktop firewall with intrusion prevention, anti-spam and anti-spyware solutions as well as network control systems for ISPs.
