AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Playing bachelor boy

The strings of music kept this guitarist busy all through his life. Music was close to his heart that he chose to live with it for ever.

It's no gainsaying that he derived immense pleasure and comfort under the waves of music. He is S V Pravin, whose world is music and music is his world.

Taking the right note, he had played for leading music directors during his two-and-a- half-decade career in the tinsel world. As a lead guitarist, Pravin had worked with music directors—Chandrabose, Deva, Vidyasagar, Sirpi, S A Rajkumar, Johnson and Adityan.

S V Pravin

There was no looking back for him since then as the industry was booming and music directors were at their peak.

Young Pravin had a fascination for music and got inspired by the string talents of his father Vincent—a master guitarist. His love for music forced him to curtail his studies abruptly to take a plunge into the world of music. He was trained by noted pianist G Dhanraj. Pravin later completed his fifth grade at Trinity College London.

The solo personality had played for numerous music troupes. He had staged programmes both inland and upcountry. To his credit, he has about 700 to 800 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Most lovable piece, Pravin had played is 'Oru venpura' for the film Annamalai.

With technology taking wings in all spheres, Pravin too developed his skills further on synthesizer mastering the nuances on keyboard programming.

He signed off from the world of cinema to have a state-of-the-art studio of his own. Now, he is confined to his room in his Ashok Nagar apartment living in the ambience of music.

The studio equipped with latest equipment has made things easy for musicians like him. Music is just a click away. (a pat for Pravin for his excellent work in setting up the studio, thanks to his computer hardware knowledge).

He now performs the role of one man show— composing, programming and mixing besides playing guitar for selected items. Pravin is well-versed in playing electric guitar, spanish acoustic and classic guitar.

With a decade experience in running his home studio, he had done numerous private albums and documentaries. Pravin is presently engaged in programming of albums for violinist M Kalyan.

The recent release include Ilayaraja hits and old Tamil film song hits. Very soon M Kalyan is to play the Hindi hits and Pravin is to perform the keyboard programming for the album.

His sister Vasanthi is also a music exponent, who holds the Isai Mani and Isai Selvam diplomas from Tamilisai College. But her interest is in different art. She is busy painting a rosy picture in her domain. And Pravin is playing a bachelor boy.
