        Former Vice-Chancellor of Madras University, Porko has been appointed as the Senate member of the Dravidian University. According to an official press release here yesterday, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi nominated Porko as Tamilnadu's representative to the Senate of the Dravidian University functioning at Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh.
