        A 17-year-old boy who went missing on New Year day was found in his relative's house in Amritsar, Punjab.

        Tharanjeet Singh, a 11th standard student of a private school in Mogappair, had informed his parents that he was going to school to attend a function on 1 January but didn't return home. He also took Rs 10,000 in cash with him.

        His father Jaswanth Singh, a resident of Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Mogappair, lodged a complaint about his missing son with the JJ Nagar police. Meanwhile, Jaswanth came to know yesterday that his son was staying at his relative's place in Amritsar.

        He later informed police and left for Amritsar to bring back his son to Chennai.
