Lions Club of Madras United City will felicitate actor Sarathkumar for having acted in 100 movies. He will be honoured during a fund- raising function to be held at Kamarajar Hall n Chennai on 7 January.
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, actor Radha Ravi, one of the directors of the club, said the function was being organised to generate revenue for various activities including cremating unclaimed corpses, setting up a dialysis unit in a suburban hospital and to adopt a village. He added that Sarathkumar would be felicitated also for having turned into a director in his latest Thalaimagan and for his involvement in various social welfare activities.
Stating that assistance for
the event was flowing from different sides including from actor Napolean,
Sathyabama Deemed University Chancellor Jeppiar, film director K R and
LKS Jewellers, Radha Ravi said the show would see various cultural events
like a grand music programme by Lakshman Sruthi troupe.
