        The colourful and beautifully decorated Chennai Citi Centre with its young and funky generation made for a suitable ambience for a rock music show to greet 2007 and bid goodbye to 2006, with emotion.

        'Skinny Alley', a premier band which has carved a niche for itself by playing at corporate events, colleges campuses, football stadia, smoky pubs and five- star night clubs with elan gave a live performance at Chennai Citi Centre yesterday.

        The evening was filled with mirth and laughter as the Kolkata- based band brought the crowd to its feet with mersmerising compositions of pop, blues and jazz music.

        The quintuplet consisted of renowned Jeffrey Menez, Gyan Singh, Amyt Dutta, Jayashree Singh and Jeffrey Rikh. Amyt's performance on the bass guitar came in for special applause by the crowd as fingers were lightning quick on the strings.

        The show was organised by Landmark stores and the media partner Radio City.
