        At a time when kidnapping incidents have been on the rise in Chennai and other parts of the country sending a wave of panic and horror, this incident reported from Mogappair has sparked off fear and anxiety. Moreso in the light of the unearthing of children's skulls in faraway Noida.

        A 17- year- old boy has been reported missing with Rs 10,000 cash from his home since New Year day.

        According to police, Tharanjeet Singh, a 11th standard student of a private school at Mogappair, had informed his parents that he was going to school to attend a function on 1 January but didn't return home.

        His father Jaswanth Singh who had gone out of station returned to city today and lodged a complaint with the police stating that his son had been missing with Rs 10,000 cash. Police are interrogating the school authorities and are on the lookout for the boy.
