        Vel's group of institutions has introduced diploma course in visual communication from this academic year.

        Speaking at a press meet here yesterday, chairman of the Vel's group of institutions, Ishari K Ganesh said the six-month diploma course is designed to cater the demand of the growing media industry and to meet the aspirations of the youth to find employment.

        The course deals with film making, television, advertising, multimedia and printing technology. The teaching faculty will comprise of media professionals and advanced diploma courses will be started focusing on specialising the students in specific area, he said. The diploma course in visual communication will commence from August for which admissions have begun. The eligibility for the course is a pass in the Plus Two examination and the course fee is Rs 15,000 apart from the registration fee of Rs 750. The students will be selected through entrance examination.
