In a follow-up to Tiruporur Town Panchayat president murder case, a special police team has arrested five persons and a search is on to catch four others who are at large.
It may be noted that the Town Panchayat president K V Munusami (55) participated at a temple fest at Kalavakkam village couple of days ago. There was a wordy duel between him and Kalavakkam colony residents in connection with the auctioning of goat meat. Later it was free for all with two groups each other. In the melee, the Town Panchayat president was seriously injured. He succumbed on way to hospital.
Tiruporur police registered
a case and arrested five persons—Venkatesan, Dhanasekaran, Damodaran, Nithyanandan
and Gopinathan on charges of murder.
