Sun Learning Services, a division of Sun Microsystems India announced the launch of its centre inn Chennai. Bhaskar Pramanik, president, Sun Microsystems along with S D Shibhulal, co-founder inaugurated the high-technology learning centre.
With special Sun authorised instructors who are technical experts delivering lectures and hands-on experiences, the centre aims at empowering the workforce on prevalent technologies and the needs of the future. Sun's Learning Services comprehensive offerings enable rapid deployment of Sun's solutions for software application development, system administration, storage and lifecycle management.
This is the second such Learning Centre in India after Bangalore, which opened in March this year.
The Learning Centre will offer training in Java and XML technologies, Identity management, Solaris OS courses, Sun Java Composite Application suite, servers, storage and Sun Hardware systems.
Speaking at the inauguration,
Bhaskar Pramanik said, 'In the dynamic environment that the IT industry
operates in, keeping up to date with changing technologies is a must for
IT professionals. At Sun, we offer training in a wide variety of options
to provide flexibility and control and this dedicated Learning Centre is
a step in that direction. Chennai is home to a large talent pool and this
drove our decision to set up a Sun Learning Centre here.'
