        A one-day training programme on 'Kitchen gardening' will be conducted by Urban Horticulture Development Centre at P 44, 6th Avenue, Anna Nagar on 10 January, between 9.30 am and 4 pm.

        The programme content will be on media and potting mixture preparation, seedling raising, cultivation aspects of tomato, brinjal, chili, bhendi, coconut, vegetative propagation methods, planting, irrigation, pest and disease management.

        House wives, students, gardeners, farmers, senior citizens, botanists, horticulturists and environmentalists can participate. The registration fee is Rs 300 per person.
