        The Tamilnadu government has released Rs.3.82 crore to give a face-lift to the Madurai Meenakshi temple and the surrounding areas as part a Central government- assisted tourism development plan, an official release here said.

        The total plan outlay for the development scheme was Rs.4.78 lakh and the State has now released Rs.3.82 crore, the release added.
