        Former Chief Secretary of Assam government S Kabilan was today sworn in as the Chairman of the Tamilnadu Electricity Regulatory Authority (TNERA). He would hold the post, which has powers equivalent to a High Court judge, for five years.

        He was sworn in as the Chairman by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the secretariat. State Electricity Minister Arcot N Veerasamy was also present.
