        A young woman, who was cooking, died after a stove burst in her house at Kattapalayam Village near here.

        Police said the victim identified as Jayalakshmi (23) sustained serious injuries in the stove-burst and her husband Srinivasan who rushed to her rescue also got injured. The two were admitted to Kilpauk General Hospital for treatment. But Jayalakshmi died. Gummidipoondi police are investigating.
