BSNL, Chennai Telephones has announced its customers that the pay-by date for the telephone bills of September 2007 has been changed from 1 October to 3 October.
An official press release said the change was made keeping in view the disturbances caused to public transportation and the consequent paralysing of normal activities on 1 October.
Free eye camp

A free diabetic retinopathy and cataract screening eye camp was conducted by Pammal Sankara Eye Hospital on 30 September.
A total of 173 people were screened and free medicines were distributed to the poor. Nine patients were identified with retinopathy and 37 were selected for cataract surgery. They were admitted in the Pammal Sankara Eye Hospital to undergo free surgery, a press release said.
TNHB extends last date

Tamilnadu Housing Board (TNHB) has announced that the sale of application and last date for booking at one of its projects (commercial) in Villivakkam has been extended up to 15 October.
Individuals or firms can apply in the prescribed format, said a release from the TNHB.
Workshop for parents

A one-day workshop on better parenting skills will be conducted at Venkatasubba Rao Matriculation Higher Secondary School, T Nagar on 7 October.
