        Three men were arrested in Chennai within 24 hours after they looted Rs 10,000 from a petrol filling station near Iyyapanthangal on Monday.

        Police identified them as Rajalingam (22), Nanda (19) and Mahesh (19) who went at midnight to fill petrol for their motorcycle.

        They noticed the cashier at the petrol station handling money and approached him. While one of them engaged him in a conversation the other two fled with the cash, police said.

        Assistant police commissioner Baskar and inspector Arul Santhoshamuthu traced the robbers in Mangadu area Tuesday morning.
