General Motors India has registered a growth of 64 per cent in sales in September 2007 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 5751 units in September 2007 as against 3506 units in September last year. The September 2007 sales comprise of 1953 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 1559 units of Chevrolet Aveo, 738 units of Chevrolet Optra and 1501 units of Chevrolet Spark.
Commenting on the impressive performance, P Balendran, vice president, GM India said, 'The year 2007 so far has been a remarkable and wonderful period with all the recently launched cars receiving rave reviews from the market and growing acceptance from customers. With the consistent surge in monthly sales, our key focus remains to address the changing customer needs while providing them world class products and best in class service. We believe these world class products will further propel the 'Chevrolet Indian Revolution' in the automobile market.'
It may be recalled that GM India has recently introduced yet another industry first 'Cost of Ownership Promise' for its customers to enjoy an excellent ownership experience of Chevrolet brand of vehicles. Under the programme, all new customers are eligible to participate in the Chevrolet Promise. If the total maintenance cost over a period of three years or 45,000 km (whichever comes first) exceeds a fixed amount, the customer may claim a refund of the difference.
